At Sea Witch Apothecary, ingredients are chosen for a reason—how they perform, how they feel, and how they work together in the finished product.

Our products are vegan, cruelty-free, phthalate-free and paraben-free.

Candle Wax

Our candles are made with a soy-free, coconut-dominant wax blend.

We chose coconut-based wax because we wanted an alternative to the soy and beeswax blends commonly used in candles, while still getting the smooth appearance, scent performance and burn quality we wanted from the finished candle.

The wax contains no soy or animal-derived waxes.

Fragrance

Fragrance is a big part of what makes Sea Witch Apothecary what it is.

Rather than limiting the collection to essential oils, we use high-quality fragrance oils that allow us to create more layered and nuanced scent profiles—from mineral salt and weathered woods to smoke, sandalwood and palo santo.

Every fragrance oil used in our products is:

Oils + Butters

Our bath and body formulas are built around ingredients chosen for the way they actually feel on skin.

Organic jojoba oil
A lightweight liquid wax that closely resembles the skin’s natural sebum and leaves skin conditioned without a heavy or greasy finish.

Organic fractionated coconut oil
A light, stable form of coconut oil that absorbs easily and gives oils and creams a smooth, silky slip.

Organic shea butter
A rich plant butter used to add softness, nourishment and body to our cream formulas.

Squalane
A silky, plant-derived emollient that helps soften the skin and support moisture retention.

Vitamin E
An antioxidant used to help protect the oils in our formulas while also adding conditioning benefits to the skin.

Mineral Salts

Quiet Tide Soak begins with pure Dead Sea salts, naturally occurring mineral salts sourced from the Dead Sea and left unfiltered and unaltered.

The salts remain the foundation of the soak, paired simply with organic fractionated coconut oil and fragrance.

The less glamorous ingredients matter, too.

Not every ingredient exists because it sounds beautiful on a label.

A body cream containing water needs an emulsifier to keep water and oils together. It needs ingredients that create the right texture and skin feel. And importantly, it needs an effective preservative system to protect the formula from microbial growth.

Our cream uses emulsifying wax, cetyl alcohol and Liquid Germall Plus for exactly those reasons.

We would rather formulate a product responsibly than leave out an ingredient simply because its name sounds less romantic.

Vegan + Cruelty-Free

Sea Witch Apothecary products contain no animal-derived ingredients.

We also source from suppliers whose ingredients are cruelty-free and will continue to hold that standard as the collection grows.
